OUTWARD BOUND Austria is the premier provider of experiential education programs.
We are an out-of-school educational institution and have been organizing experiential education courses and outdoor training for personality development in and with nature for over 65 years.
Our non-profit organization was founded in 1951 by Kurt Hahn, one of the most renowned reform educators of his time, and has been active in Austria and Germany ever since.
Our customers include many renowned schools such as Salem Kolleg, Leysin and TASIS as well as world-famous companies such as Osram, Bosch and Hewlett Packard. Today, OUTWARD BOUND is the market leader in experiential education in 35 countries around the world. OUTWARD BOUND gGmbH is a recognized partner of the youth welfare assistance program according to § 75 SGB VIII, kind 33 AGSG.

OUTWARD BOUND gGmbH was founded in 2013. The company has since been responsible for the operational business of OUTWARD BOUND Austria. Main owner of the gGmbH is the registered non-profit OUTWARD BOUND e.V. The board of the non-profit is responsible for quality control of all pedagogical and safety-relevant aspects of our programs.

Outward Bound Germany e.V.
OUTWARD BOUND e.V. is an educational institution registered as a non-profit association. Its goal is to support people in their personal development as individuals or within a group through experiences in and with nature.
The main tasks of the honorary board are quality control, development of educational concepts and supervision of safety procedures.
OUTWARD BOUND's offer in Austria includes experiential education seminars, outdoor trainings and continuing education courses. More than 6,000 students, young people, students and apprentices attend these programs each year.
